Territory of business

Place construction of cascade hydropower Zhupanovsky - Zhupanova river, south of the Kamchatka Peninsula. Distance from Petropavlovsk - Kamchatka - 100 km. The river originates on the eastern slopes of the ridge Yelagin and empties into the Gulf Kronotskiy Pacific. The river is 242 km. The catchment area of ​​6980 square meters. km.
The climate of this region is moderately cold, the average annual temperature +3,0 ° C. Terrain is characterized by heavy rainfall and winds. Significant winter snow cover 1-1.5 meters.

Zhupanovsky HPP-1 - 48 800 mln.;
Zhupanovsky HPP-2 - 20 800 mln.;

Zhupanovsky HPP - 2 - 99 m height, flooded area - 2.45 hectares , firm capacity - 34 MW installed capacity -90 MW and annual electricity generation -474 million kW / h ;
Zhupanovsky HPP - 3 - 83 m height, firm capacity - 23 MW installed capacity - 55 MW and annual electricity generation -275 million kW / h
Power output of HPP - 1 is planned for 220 kV 140 km . In the course of development of the cascade hydropower total length of 220 kV transmission lines will be 310 km . Thus, a ring for reliability of electricity supply and the central power Kamchatka preconditions for development of the mining industry and in Milkovsky Bystrinskiy areas.

Socio-economic indicators of the project

Implementation of this project will provide an opportunity to completely replace the electric power generation based on fossil fuel burning CHP-1, CHP-2. Freeze tariffs at the time of start-HPP translate Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to electric heating.

In 2013, specialists design and survey institute "Lengidroproekt" (branch of JSC "RusHydro") made ​​"Declaration of Intent" (DON), which includes elements of the feasibility study, business plan and EAs.

Availability of design, permits, necessary examinations (public, environmental, etc.) 

DON is in the ministries and organizations of the region and, in the case of a positive decision will be forwarded to the Administration Elizovo district to the Interdepartmental Commission, Kamchatka.
