Maxim Shereikin : tourism is an obvious competitive advantage of Kamchatka.

During the Investment forum «Far East – 2014», which was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatksy on 4 and 5 September, with the support of the Ministry of development of the Far East, was attended by Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation on development of the Far East Maxim Shereikin.

Also at the forum was attended by Federal and regional bodies of state power of the Russian Federation, leading Russian and foreign financial and investment institutions, representatives of transport, energy, industry and tourism companies.

Delegates discussed transport potential of the Far East , the future of agriculture, fishery, energy, medicine, sports and tourism. Maxim Shereikin considers and obvious competitive advantage of Kamchatsky Krai.

“We have competitors in the fish industry on Kamchatka and in the bowels sphere, too. But in the tourism there are no competitors. Compared with those who go on vacation to China, Kamchatka is another audience: it is relative expensive, but it is more profitable for tourism companies. We need to develop infrastructure. You need to understand that the tourists flow, when it begins to grow, you need to manage it in order to preserve the natural advantages of the Kamchatsky Krai”. Through tourism, you can discover a world of new investors”, - said Maxim Shereikin during the meeting with journalists.

In general, according to the Deputy Minister, policy according aims to create new business opportunities and conditions for the rapid implementation of investment projects. This should facilitate the emergence of new jobs and growth tax deductions.
