The development of the agricultural potential of the Far East will be discussed by the participants of the Investment forum «Far East - 2014» in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Agriculture and water resources of the Far East will be discussed by the participants of the Investment forum «Far East -  2014», which will be held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in early September.

In discussing the prospects of development of vegetables and animal husbandry in the Russian Far Eastern regions, as well as prospects for the use of water resources will be attended by:  head of the commercial service of the BBC in Russia, Ukraine, CIS countries and the Baltic states Sergey Stanovkin, Deputy the Chairm of the Government of Kamchatsky Krai Marina Subbota, Deputy General Director for investment projects of JSC “ Development Corporation of Kamchatka” Michael Kostenets, General Director of CJSC “ Agrotek holding “ Vladimir Rubakhin, General Director of LLC “ Russian water” Alexander Gorbunov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LLC” Pauzhetka Agroterm” Alexander Ivanov.

The panelists will discuss approaches in animal husbandry and horticulture. “ Development Corporation of Kamchatka” will present  concept of creation of the first Kamchatka agro-industrial park “ Nagorny”.

It is planned that agro-park “ Nagorny” will become a center of agricultural production and trade in the Kamchatka  Region. On the area of 121 hectares will be accommodated large greenhouses with modern cultivation technologies for vegetables, as well as processing facilities, warehouses for storage agricultural products and farms, farmers market and trade fair grounds. Due to the state co-financing already planned to create conditions for the development of agricultural production:  to sum up utilities ( gas, electrical, water supply and sanitation) , to build roads and to equip sites.

Investment forum “Far East -2014” will be held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on 4-5 September. The Forum is organized by the Government of Kamchatsky Krai and “Development Corporation of Kamchatka”, supported by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Development of the Russian Far East. Main aim is to a attract investments and partners for development of the Russian Far East, as well as to develop effective mechanisms for integration of the Far East on international economic space.

Subject of the Forum indicates the prospects of development for the Russian Far East in the fields of energy, transport (including the Northern Sea Route), use of natural, industrial and tourist potential of the Far Eastern regions and the creation of areas of advanced development.

The Forum will be attended by Federal and Regional bodies of state power of Russian Federation, leading Russian and foreign financial and investment institutions, transport, energy, industrial and tourist companies, experts and media representatives.
