Transport potential of the Russian Far East will be discussed at the Investment forum «Far East - 2014» in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

Transport potential of the Russian Far East in the integrated scheme of cargo between Asia Pacific and Europe will be discussed at the investment forum “Far East-2014”, which will be held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in early September.

In the discussion of transport and logistics theme will be attended by the Head of the Federal Agency of Sea and River transport Alexander Davidenko, the Deputy head of the Federal Agency of Sea and River transport Sergey Gorelik, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Kamchatsky Krai, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Kamchatsky Krai Yury Zubar, President of FESCO Transportation group Ruslan Alikhanov, Deputy General Director of FSUE “ Atomflot”  Stanislav Golovinsky, General Director  of JSC “ Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky commercial sea port” Ivan Kapralov, partner K&L Gates Sergey Milanov, General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” Andrei Tarasenko,  General Director of JSC “ Development Corporation of Kamchatka” Nikolai Pegin, Chairman of the State Assembly ( Il Tumen) of the Republic of Sakha ( Yakutia) Alexander Zhirkov.

Panelists will discuss ways of mutually beneficial cooperation for integration of transport potential of the Russian Far East into the global system of freight between Asia Pacific countries, including countries in North and South America, and Europe, as well as prospects of development of the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as the reference port on the Northern Sea Route.

Investment forum «Far East - 2014» will be held in Petropavlovsk- Kamchatsky on 4-5 September. The forum is organized by the Government of Kamchatsky Krai and “Development Corporation of Kamchatka” and supported by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for development of the Far East. The main object of Investment forum «Far East -  2014» is attraction of investments  and partners for development of the Russian Far East, as well as to develop effective mechanisms for integration of the Russian Far East in the international economic space.

Subject of the forum indicates the prospects of development for the Far East in the field of energy, transport (including the Northern Sea Route), use of natural, industrial and tourist potential of the Far East regions and the creation of areas of advanced development.

In the forum activity will be attended Federal and Regional bodies of state power of Russian Federation, leading Russian and foreign financial and investment institutions, transport, energy, industrial and tourist companies, experts and media representatives.
